Crockpot Recipes Vegetarian Chili

Substitute cornstarch?
I make this recipe vegetarian chili – http://busycooks.about.com/od/hotsouprecipes/r/tvpchili.htm. It is for a slow cooker, but I want to do it only in a large pot on the stove. I’ve never put a thickener in my chili, no flour or cornstarch anything. If you cook it nice and slow for a long Nice period it will get thick on its own.
