barbecue chicken in slow cooker ?????? how long! help!?
I want to make sandwhiches barbecue chicken in slow cooker. Just something easy using skinless chicken breast BONELESS and bottled sauce.I have looked online for recipes to see how long I cook low heat. They were all delayed from 5 to 9 hours. I am paranoid when it comes to cooked chicken and see how it will be soaking in a red sauce, I would like to know if anyone has ever cooked barbecue chicken breast in slow cooker and if so how long Thank down??!
I make a BBQ this way all the time. Just put the chicken in slow cooker and cover it in sauce. Start it on high for the first hours, then reduce to low for another 3 to 4 hours. When the chicken is tender and pulling apart, it's done. It will not become tender until is cooked, so that's how you know. If you can take two forks and easily remove the chicken aside, you're good to go. Good luck.
