What kind of beer should I use for cooking corn beef in a crockpot?
I'll prepare some corn beef soon and I've never done before, I have a good recipe but it calls for only 2 bottles of beer and it doesn't specify the type of use. I saw some recipes for Guinness, is that the type you can use? I do not like guiness and have always been told not to cook with beer you drink. When I do I use Italian beef from Newcastle to cook beef, and it is great. Newcastle would work for beef and corn? Any suggestions or advice on good beer would be great to use.
I always heard not to use beer Light is one thing flavor. Your dark beers are better for cooking. If you liked the outcome of your beer in the past … result will be the same no matter what you cook it. Good luck.
