Hello everyone, I leave for my first year at college this year and have no idea how I'll survive in the absence of food.Lol.I do not want to eat cafeteria food all year gross.So, anyway, in my dorm room, I'm only allowed to use what comes from being in the dorm … which is a System.It Micro-Fridge is a fridge, microwave, freezer and one.Besides that I can not use anything else, a mini grill, slow cooker, etc.I do not want go out and eat fast food every day, sometimes maybe, but not like 4 times a week. Lol So yes, all good, at least some healthy recipes for a student who can not use a lot of cooking with? Thanks y'all:)
you can actually cook a lot of things in the microwave. Here are a bunch of meals you can do. Microwave Chicken Ingredients: 1 cup ketchup 5 tablespoons curry powder 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 8 chicken thighs Preparation: 1. In a large round dish microwave safe casserole combine the ketchup, curry powder and cayenne pepper and mix. Add chicken pieces and turn to coat. Arrange chicken thighs in a fan, with the thin legs in center of dish. Cover and cook in microwave on high for 12-15 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Microwave potato chips Ingredients: 4 potatoes medium Yukon Gold Salt to taste Preparation: 1. Scrub potatoes and slice them paper thin. Place a sheet of parchment paper on the bottom of your microwave oven. Arrange apple slices potatoes in one layer on top of the paper. Season with salt. Cover the potatoes with a second sheet of parchment paper. 2. Cook on high for 8 minutes, or until potato slices are golden brown and crispy, test and adjust the time required, as all microwaves cook differently. Remove the potato chips from the microwave and let cool on rack. Repeat these steps to cook the potato slices remaining. Microwave Tacos INGREDIENTS: 1 pound ground beef 1 1 / 2 c. tsp chilli powder 1 / 2 teaspoon salt 1 / 2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 / 8 v. teaspoon cayenne pepper / 4 cup water 1 August taco shells medium, warmed 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 2 cups lettuce 1 / 4 cup onion, finely chopped 1 medium tomato, chopped taco sauce DIRECTIONS: 1. Crumble ground beef in a mat 1 1 / 2 quart saucepan. Cover with the lid glass. Cook in microwave for 5 minutes on high. Drain and stir in chili powder, salt, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and water. Cover and return to microwave. Cook for another 3-4 minutes at high temperature. 2. Grease a baking sheet, and set aside. In a glass bowl, combine peanuts, sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cook in microwave for 6-7 minutes on high (700 W); mixture should be foamy and peanuts browned. Stir in butter and vanilla and cook 2-3 minutes more. 2. Quickly stir in baking soda until the mixture is frothy. Immediately pour on a greased baking sheet. Cool 15 minutes, or until. Break into pieces and store in a airtight container. Microwave Curry Chicken Ingredients: 1 apple – peeled, cored and chopped 1 onion, chopped 2 tablespoons butter 3 teaspoons curry powder 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of condensed mushroom soup 1 cup heavy cream Salt and pepper to taste 8 chicken thighs, cut into small pieces 3 / 4 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 1 c. teaspoon paprika DIRECTIONS: 1. In a shallow microwave safe Cook the potatoes and onion in the curry powder and butter or margarine on high for 3 minutes. Stir in soup, cream and salt and pepper. 2. Place chicken in a shallow 8×12-inch microwave safe cooking and cover with curry sauce. Sprinkle with paprika. 3. Cover with greaseproof paper and bake high for 30 minutes. Test to see if the chicken is cooked and tender. If not microwave at full power 15-20 minutes. Check all 5 minutes. Goulash ingredients in microwave: 1 (8 ounce) package uncooked macaroni 1 pound ground beef cup diced 1 onion 1 cup sliced celery 1 c. tablespoons minced garlic 1 (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes 1 (10 ounces) tomato sauce 1 tablespoon sugar 1 tablespoon 1 teaspoon paprika dried oregano 1 / 4 c. teaspoon caraway seeds 1 pinch cayenne pepper or to taste 1 tbsp teaspoon salt DIRECTIONS: 1. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain. 2. Meanwhile, crumble the beef chopped into 2 quart casserole or more. Add onion, celery and garlic. Cook in microwave on high for 5-6 minutes or until the beef is no longer pink. Stir once during cooking. Drain fat. 3. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and sugar in the meat and season with paprika, oregano, cumin, cayenne pepper and salt. Cover and cook in the microwave power level 8 for about 14 minutes, or until celery is tender and flavors have merged. 4. Remove from oven and mix the cooked macaroni. Cook for 2-3 minutes until hot. Serve. Tater Tot Casserole Microwave INGREDIENTS: 1 (32 oz) potatoes round a frozen package (10.75 ounces) condensed cream box of chicken soup with herbs 8 oz of cheese grated Cheddar 2 tablespoons sour cream 1 (15 oz) green beans, drained 8 slices of ham, chopped Salt and pepper to taste (optional) Preparation: 1. Pour round potatoes in a 9×13 inch glass baking dish. Heat in microwave for about 2 minutes to thaw. Towers potatoes must be cold but not frozen. 2. In a medium bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese and sour cream. Add green beans and ham. Stir this mixture around potatoes until smooth. 3. In a large microwave-safe dish, microwave sausage 5 minutes on high, until no longer pink. Remove the dish of sausages. Stir in olive oil with garlic and sausage drippings and microwave 1 minute. Add onion, pepper, parsley and basil and microwave 4 minutes, until tender. 2. Stir in mushrooms and cook 2 minutes. Then add the tomatoes, wine and reserved clam juice. Cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring once. 3. Add sausage and cook 5 minutes more. Let stand 5 minutes before stirring in the clams and salt. Serve hot. Romano Chicken Ingredients: 4 skinless, boneless – chicken breast pounded to 1 / 4 inch thick 1 / 4 lb. Swiss cheese, sliced 1 / 4 pound ham, sliced thin 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese 1 1 / 2 c. teaspoon paprika 1 / 2 teaspoon garlic salt 1 / 2 teaspoon dried tarragon 1 / 2 teaspoon dried basil 1 tsp chopped leaves of butter, melted 1 / 3 cup dry bread crumbs DIRECTIONS: 1. Place chicken breasts on a platter. Place Swiss cheese and ham slices on top and roll, securing with toothpicks if necessary. In a small bowl, combine cheese Parmesan, paprika, garlic salt, tarragon, basil and breadcrumbs. Mix together and soak in the mixture to coat rollups. 2. Drizzle with melted butter and cook up in the microwave for 4 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Butternut soup: 2 pounds of pumpkin squash, cubed 2 onions, chopped 1 tablespoon butter 4 cups vegetable broth 1 / 2 cup heavy cream Salt and pepper to taste 1 pinch nutmeg 1 pinch cloves 1 dash ground cinnamon DIRECTIONS: 1. In a large microwave dish combine course zucchini, onions and butter. Cover and cook on high for 4 minutes. Peel squash. Stir in broth and cook on high for another 20-25 minutes or until the squash is tender. Mashed squash, onions and broth in a food processor or blender. Add cream, salt and pepper and microwave on high power up for another 3-4 minutes or until hot. Flavor with nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon to taste.
