Last week, I followed slow cooker / crock pot recipe and dumped my pork chops with a box ot two of cream of mushroom I did not like the texture of the (bone) chops at all – too soft and sweet Anyway, if I enter the chops in a skillet first, this will make more crisp pork chops (Less soft and fragile) I put the chops with cranberry jelly and chopped onion. Used this mix last week with roast loin pork and it was delicious
You're just cooking the chops too long, that's all. Pork chops are done better in a skillet on the stove for 4 minutes or more on each side. Then you can throw at the mushroom soup. If you owe.
The soft and mushy is a direct result of being cooked slowly for a long period of time. Most slow cooker recipes were designed for large roasts or chunks of tough meat. The cooking process is slower for more difficult cuts of meat.
